The picture right there pretty much sums up my day today. Somehow, everyone in the state of Michigan forgot how to drive in snow, and that meant that a drive to the airport that should have take an hour took 3 hours. I probably saw a dozen accidents, most of them enough to cause lane closures. Most of the 3 hours was spent doing 15 - 25 MPH. And the weather wasn't even that bad!
Fortunately, I left my home this morning really early, thinking that the security nightmare would be the biggest of my worries. Turns out that I needed every bit of that 5 hours I gave myself, because I made my flight with 10 minutes to spare. Today was a horrible travel day...maybe the worst I've ever had.
